Biddinghuizen, 23 April – In the coming years, Walibi Holland will focus entirely on the summer season, from April through October. This decision follows a periodic evaluation by the theme park, in which it continuously assesses which activities best match both its guests and Walibi’s character as a seasonal business.

It has been decided that the winter event Bright Nights will no longer continue. Last year’s edition was the final one. Walibi Holland is proud of what was created with Bright Nights, but the limited opening period during the Christmas holidays and the strong dependence on unpredictable winter weather conditions make it difficult to consistently guarantee the desired quality and guest experience.

“Walibi is, above all, a seasonal business,” says Managing Director Mascha Taminiau. “During the summer months, we can offer our guests the best and most complete experience. That is where we want to place our full focus.”

Within this clear focus on the summer season, Walibi Holland is introducing a new concept: "Zomerse Zaterdagen". On selected Saturdays during the summer, the park will remain open extra late, until 10:00 PM, with an offering specifically aimed at families with children. These extended opening hours create more time to enjoy attractions and spend long summer days together.

In addition, Walibi Holland is adjusting the structure of its Halloween calendar. From now on, there will be a clear distinction between Halloween Spooky Days and Halloween Fright Nights, without mixed days. In this way, the park aims to position both concepts more strongly for their different target groups. For visitors to Halloween Fright Nights, an additional afternoon activity is also being developed, with more details to be announced later.

With these strategic choices, Walibi Holland aims to further strengthen the quality of the guest experience and continue operating in a future-proof way.
