How to accept, reject or delete trackers?

On your first visit to our website, and every 6 months thereafter, you will be asked to accept the collection and use of cookies. To this end, a central window is displayed on our website asking you to accept the collection of cookies or to set your choices (if you wish to modify them or refuse all or part of these cookies).
We inform you that a refusal may degrade your experience on our site. We therefore decline all responsibility for the possible consequences of this refusal, in particular the absence of content adapted to your navigation and your choices.

Furthermore, whatever your choice, you can at any time:

  • Change your settings within our cookie management tool via the ‘cookie settings’ button at the top of the document or at the bottom of the website page (footer);
  • And/or, to have your terminal's tracers removed via your browser, these choices being applicable to your entire Internet navigation.

Here is some useful information about setting cookies on browsers:

Most browsers are set by default to accept the use of all cookies and trackers. You can change this setting to select the trackers you wish to use, or refuse the use of trackers. This setting must be made on each of your terminals (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

The methods for setting and deleting cookies are different for each browser. These procedures are described in the help menu of your browser. You will find below the methods of setting the parameters of the tracers for the best-known browsers:

Please note that if you choose to delete all cookies from your terminal via your browser, we will no longer have information about your choice of settings, and will be forced to ask you to re-set your choices the next time you visit our site. The same applies if you use a new browser or new terminal. As these settings are entirely the responsibility of the browsers, we do not guarantee their correct operation.

And more information on social media and advertising cookies:

Some cookies used on our website are provided by third‑party companies. This means certain information is sent directly to these providers. For optimal control of how your information is used, we recommend that you manage your cookie and privacy also in settings directly with each provider through their own cookie or privacy policies. This is the most effective way to customise your preferences.

This is specially the case for social medial cookie: our website may include content or sharing buttons from social media platforms. When you visit a page that contains such features, these platforms may place cookies on your device. These cookies allow them to recognize your browser and collect information about your browsing activity, including when you visit other websites. If you are logged in to a social media account, this information may be linked to your profile. The data collected is mainly used for audience measurement and personalized advertising purposes.

To learn more about each provider and manage your preferences, please refer directly to their policies:

Specific information about advertising: Our website does not contain any advertising space. As a result, the information collected is used mainly to offer you adapted advertisements on the third-party sites you visit, based on the information collected thanks to the audience measurement tools listed above (the tools used are identical for these two purposes).

Walibi Holland makes use of the services of TradeTracker.com. Their role is to help advertisers and publishers understand which advertisements displayed by publishers have generated which sales, leads or other actions for advertisers. This allows the advertiser to pay a publisher only when the advertisement displayed (or any alternative required action) by the publisher refers an individual to the advertiser and that individual makes a purchase. TradeTracker uses data, including cookies, to achieve this understanding. This data relates to individuals but does not identify them by name. It is pseudonymous data and relates to a single referral by an individual from one website to another, and then a confirmation that a purchase was made.

TradeTracker also maintains a database of references to individual’s devices, so that they can understand whether an advertisement viewed on one device, for example a phone, caused a purchase to be made by that individual on one of their other devices, for example a laptop. This database does not allow people to be identified by name, which is not possible for TradeTracker itself to achieve.

TradeTracker does not build profiles which show an individual’s internet purchase history over a period of time. TradeTracker also does not target individuals with advertisements for products and services based on their perceived interests. Their role is simply to measure the effectiveness of specific online advertisements.

At the same time, several professional advertising platforms offer you the possibility of refusing or accepting cookies used by their member companies. These centralised mechanisms do not block the display of advertisements, but only prevent the installation of cookies that allow advertisements to be adapted to your centres of interest. For example, you can visit the Your Online Choices site to prevent the installation of these cookies on your terminal. This site is proposed by the digital advertising professionals grouped within the European Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) . However, we cannot guarantee that it will be completely effective, as the proper functioning of this tool depends on the participation of the advertising industry in this system.
