COVID-19 measures

in the park

Modified rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19

At Walibi Holland, we always do everything we can to make sure you have a fantastic day in our park. That has not changed during this time of social distancing. We have therefore taken several measures in the park to allow you and all other visitors to enjoy our rides to the fullest, while we make sure this is done as safely as possible. You can read more about these measures on this page. For example, it is no longer possible to wait in line. Instead, you will have to reserve your seat on a ride in a virtual queue. At certain locations, we have put up signs and icons. It is essential that you follow these guidelines closely to ensure we all maintain a safe distance from each other and comply with the hygiene regulations. That is the only way for Walibi Holland to reopen and stay open.

Veilig Samen Uit (Going Out Together Safely)

Walibi Holland is a member of the Club van Elf (Club of Eleven), which consists of the Netherlands’ largest attractions. Together with the Club van Elf and the Dutch Zoo Federation, we have drawn up a number of guarantees under the name of "Veilig Samen Uit” (Going Out Together Safely). By very strictly adhering to these measures, we make sure you can safely enjoy your day out!

Reserve your seat on a ride in the virtual queue

When you order a dated ticket, you will notice that another product is added to your order: Virtual queue. This allows us to better distribute visitors across the park and prevent long lines. Via the virtual queue, you can reserve your seat on a select number of rides. That means you can no longer stand in line to go on these rides. Here's how to reserve your seat:

How to reserve a seat on a ride?

How to reserve a seat on a ride?

  1. When purchasing a ticket you will also receive a link in your inbox. Open this link on the day of your visit with your smartphone. This is possible from 8.30 AM. Unfortunately, you cannot use the link if you do not own a smartphone.
  2. Click “log in” and create an account. Next, read the instructions you see on your screen.
  3. When the park opens, you can view the list of rides that offer a virtual queue, pick one and book a time slot.
  4. Once your reservation has been made, you have entered the virtual queue. You will be notified when your turn is coming up.
  5. Once the ride is over, you can make a new reservation.

If you want to skip the virtual queue, you can purchase Fast Lane Premium Single or Fast Lane Premium Unlimited via the same website.

* Booking seats is available for the following rides: Condor, Crazy River, El Rio Grande, Goliath, Lost Gravity, Space Shot, Speed of Sound, UNTAMED and Xpress: Platform 13. Unfortunately, a number of rides will remain closed while the measures are in effect, because we are unable to meet the prescribed minimum safety requirements for these rides. The following rides are closed until further notice: NeuroGen.

Stay at home if you have any symptoms

If you have any symptoms that may indicate you have been infected with the COVID-19 virus, do not come to the park and stay at home instead. This prevents you from spreading the virus further. Stay at home if you:

  • Have a cold or the flu;
  • Have mild symptoms, such as a runny nose, coughing, a sore throat and/or a fever;
  • Have housemates who have a cold or a fever.

Follow the hygiene regulations

In the park, you must follow the same hygiene regulations that apply elsewhere.

  • Cough or sneeze in the crook of your elbow;
  • Blow your nose in a paper towel and dispose of it immediately;
  • Wash your hands frequently and for at least twenty seconds at a time.

Maintain a distance of 1.5 metres

Keep your distance. Maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other park visitors and our staff. This rule also applies while standing in line and in restaurants and shops. Throughout the park, we have created special markings or lines on the ground to help you and others maintain a safe distance from each other.

Rules in shops and restaurants

The following rules apply in shops and restaurants:

  • Paying with cash is possible, but using a bank card or a contactless payment method is preferred;
  • If possible, visit our shops by yourself;
  • Only touch the products you actually intend to buy;
  • Maintain a safe distance from others. Keep an eye on the markings on the floor.

Avoid public transport

Since it is difficult to maintain a safe distance from others while using public transport, we ask that you arrange your own transport to come to Walibi. Avoid taking the bus or train and take the car to come to the park instead!

Going on rides with your family members

We do our best to make sure visitors sit far enough apart from each other on rides. If you visit our park with other members of your household, chances are that you can sit together in a section of the train (of a rollercoaster). If you come to the park alone, you will sit in this section by yourself. That is the only way we can maintain the minimum safe distance of 1.5 metres.

We ask you to follow the aforementioned rules. Only then can we guarantee your safety and that of our staff. You should therefore always follow the instructions given to you by park staff! If you fail to do so, you will be given a warning.
